SWIMMING POOL FILTERS
Pool filters with a correctly sized, with a properly matched pool pump will ensure proper pool water turn-over and efficient pool water filtration. To accomplish this, the filter must have an 8-12 hour turnover rate, which is the most essential factor to maintain the safety and clarity of your pool. Pool filter types and size has a different turn-over rate requirement and therefore, it should be matched to the specific pool pump size, pool application and performance needs.
Each of the pool filters we offer are very effective for their designed application.
Sand filters for pools are called High Rate pool filters because they are designed for a fast water turnover for superb pool water filtering. Sand filters perform best when the water passes through the filter media as many times as possible per day.
FOR BETTER SAND FILTRATION & WATER QUALITY! - We don't use pool filter sand! We use Zeobrite or Zeobest which provides superior water clarity compared to sand and lasts for 5-years! Each granule of Zeobest or Zeobrite has countless little pockets, nooks and crannies to trap dirt as small as 3 microns. This is 10 times smaller particles than pool filter sand can capture! This filter media acts as a molecular sieve that even catches the smallest irritating ammonia ions produced from dead organic material in the water and reduces chloramines in the water that cause eye irritation and chlorine odor. Reduces backwashing requirement up to 50% and saves water, energy, labor and chemical costs. Zeobest provides excellent water clarity, purity, and quality. Hayward above ground pool sand filter system models we carry are S166T with a 1-HP pump, S180T with either a 1 or 1-1/2-HP pump and the S210T with a 1-1/2-HP pump. Hayward has perfectly matched their pool pumps to filter sizes for proper flow and turn-over rates. These pool filter systems are economically priced and do a great job. They are the most common above ground pool filter systems in Ohio.
